Allright, “Rage-Applying” is not angrily hitting your computer as such☝️

If it’s not hitting my computer while running through LinkedIn jobs …. What is it then?

We’ve all been in this scenario:

  • You just had the worst. meeting. ever.
  • Your boss chews you out for something out of your control,
  • Your workload feels like Mount Everest (and he’s still adding pebbles on top),
  • and the office coffee pot sputters out its last burnt offering of depresso.

In that moment, the urge to fire off applications to every remotely relevant job listing you can find is oh-so tempting.

That, right there, is the phenomenon of rage-applying. It’s the emotional equivalent of throwing spaghetti at a wall and hoping some sticks. While the frustration is understandable, let’s be honest, rage-applying rarely leads to dream jobs.
